In this video, we talk about:
1. the role of the Executor; and
2. characteristics of a good Executor.
Who is this video for?
We note that if your assets are held with your spouse as joint tenants, your superannuation binding death benefit nomination is to your spouse and there is no need for probate, it’s generally the case you appoint your spouse as your Executor. In all other cases, this video would be relevant to you.
However, where there are assets solely in your name or perhaps your spouse doesn’t want to take on the role of Executor… then this video is for you.
We note that a beneficiary can be an Executor, as well as a non beneficiary (like your accountant or lawyer).
